Koppa ( Kannada: ಕೊಪ್ಪ) is a panchayat town in Chikkamagaluru district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is famously known as kashmir of Karnataka and also renownked for its famous Arecanut,coffee and Tea estates. Arabica and Robusta varieties of coffee are grown here. Koppa extends over 22 Gram Panchayats, one Town Panchayat and 3 Hobilis. Megunda Hobili, in particular, is famous for Coffee. A number of tea processing centres - in Bappunji (Devon Plantation and Industries Ltd), Karkikonda, Koradihitlu, Alageshwara, Balanur have made this taluk famous for Tea. Bhandigadi is famous for arecanut and paddy cultivation and also for shakatapuram shree mutt. ==Geography== Koppa is located at .〔(Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Koppa )〕 It has an average elevation of 763 metres (2,503 feet).
